Since 2005, we have helped to settle business interruption claims in excess of £40 billion, and acted as expert witnesses on many high and low profile litigation / arbitration / mediation cases.

Our chartered accounting qualifications include ACA and ACCA. We also have Certified Fraud Examiners and members of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators.

Our academic and professional backgrounds are varied with degrees in economics, maths, engineering, art and design, and finance. We have fluent French, German and Bulgarian speakers.

Our BI focus is primarily Property and Energy BI, ICOW, CBI, DSU/ALOP and Stock claims. We have also assisted on offshore losses, catastrophic events and special projects (including the management of fee funds on major claims).

We also offer forensic accounting services in London for W&I insurance and other breach of warranty claims.

The Spanish office of C Lewis Worldwide formally opened in September 2021, combining insurance and forensic accounting expertise with local, on-the-ground availability in Madrid.

Our team is experienced in business interruption claims in a wide range of industries, and for businesses ranging from small owner-managed bars and restaurants all the way up to large industrial losses. The team also has experience in arbitration and litigation (including expert witness work and other litigation support) and in forensic investigations, working with insurers and also in broader contexts.

We are fully qualified accountants with backgrounds in Big 4 and other forensic accounting teams prior to specialising in business interruption, and have both English and Spanish capability.

The Paris office of C. Lewis formally launched in early 2023, bringing the seasoned expertise of C. Lewis physically closer to French markets. Our team has extensive experience in the measurement of loss, financial valuation, and other forensic and litigation support services for the insurance industry as well as other sectors. The opening of the Paris office allows us to extend this expertise to new markets, both in France and the French-speaking world more broadly. With fluency in French and English, as well as close ties to all other C. Lewis regional offices, the Paris office welcomes both local and international clients.

Since 2008, we have been assisting our clients in the measurement of time element claims including business interruption, contingent business interruption, extra expense, and increased cost of working. We have also assisted our clients in the measurement of property damage elements of insurance claims. In addition, we have utilized the accounting skillsets we possess to assist attorneys in litigation and appraisal matters.

Our academic backgrounds include accounting & finance and our professional qualifications include a CPA & CFE. We have a fluent bilingual Spanish associate on our team.

Established in 2007, the New York office has since provided dedicated professional accounting services to the insurance market. In addition, the New York office has assisted attorneys in litigation and appraisal matters. The New York office draws on the resources of other worldwide offices as the need arises to provide timely expert reviews from seasoned professionals when required.

The office is now managed by Zander Comfort, who has been operating in the New York and Connecticut region since 2001.

Our professionals’ fluency in English, Spanish, and Portuguese, combined with our expertise and worldwide presence, allows us to promptly meet our clients’ needs.

Established in 2021 we hope and trust our offering will provide an new and exciting alternative in the insurance and litigation support market. The office is headed by David McIntosh who has over 20 years market experience for Deloitte, Aon and Marsh.

C. Lewis Consulting Middle East Ltd formally opened in February 2022, led by Miranda Atkins and Sahar Abd.

We have a diverse range of experience, having previously worked in audit, financial investigations, loss adjusting, claims preparation, and forensic accounting with a primary focus on insurance claims.

Continuing the focus on the insurance market, and working together with insurers, loss adjusters, and lawyers, we hope to bring our skills and previous experience together to develop our presence in the Middle East.
